Advanced Account Security

This optional setting adds protection against account takeover. It is offered to eligible personal accounts; enterprise-managed accounts and claimed domains are excluded. Check Settings → Security to see whether it is available.

Prepare at least two secure sign-in methods, with one usable across devices. Supported options include passkeys and compatible security keys. Store the recovery keys securely before completing setup.

Enrollment replaces password and email or SMS sign-in with the secure methods you configured. Standard email recovery is unavailable. If every sign-in method and recovery key is lost, account access may be lost as well.
